Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC (ASCO) continues its activities in accordance with social isolation measures implemented in the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Currently, in order to eliminate threats to the health of employees ASCO uses “work from home” system in all its structures and organizations. In other words, besides a limited number of shift workers and floating personnel, all other people who can work from home do it remotely every calendar day. Employees communicate through social networks, email and other online tools.
Using the “work from home” system, the salaries of employees were calculated and transferred to the card accounts of workers of coastal facilities and shipyards. In addition, the necessary orders have been issued and proper documentation has been drawn up. All this has become possible thanks to advanced software such as SAP ERP and Electronic Document Management, as well as modern technologies applied in the sphere of shipping in recent years.
At present, maritime transport, as well as the work of ships of various purposes in the oil and gas sector, is carried out as before without interference or interruption.
ASCO management calls on all employees to be socially responsible and implement all the supportive measures necessary to prevent the spread of the virus.
