Russia and Turkey Carry Out Maneuvers in the Black Sea

Ships from the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navyand the Naval Forces of Turkey have carried out a series of joint exercises this week.

Between March 6 and 8, crews tried different interaction scenarios in the waters of the Black Sea, particularly in the face of a possible mine risk, reports RIA Novosti .

“The crews of the two ships of the naval base of Novorossiysk – the patrol vessel Vasili Bíkov and the minesweeper Valentin Pikul – carried out the Turkish-Russian exercises PASSEX with the teams of the corvette Burgazada and the minesweeper Akchay”, as announced this Friday the head of the communication department of the Russian Fleet, the captain of second rank Alexei Rulióv, quoted by the agency.
