In the framework of the II International High Level Transport Conference “Integrated Transport Corridors in the Europe-Asia Connection”, the General Meeting of the Founders of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” was held.
Representatives of the railways and ports of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Poland and Ukraine took part in the work of the General Meeting.
Following the results of the event, by the decision of the General Meeting, the Azerbaijani company “ADY Container” LLC, specializing in container transportation, was admitted to the International Trans-Caspian Transport Consortium as a new member.
Also, during the work of the General Meeting, important decisions were made with regard to further improvement of the transportation technology, including the creation of a united pool of rolling stock by transferring and combining the required number of container platforms and open-top wagons on the TITR route.
As noted by Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Evgeniy Kravtsov, TITR is actively developing, technical aspects and tariff policy are worked out on the route, its prospects are obvious.
In order to further popularize and promote the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) on the transportation market of the Eurasia, the General Meeting also decided to apply the name “Middle corridor” to the route.
