A chess tournament dedicated to November 8 – Victory Day was held at the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ASMA) under ASCO.
Sea-news.az reports that organized under the motto “Victory Begins with Intellect” (Zəfər zəka ilə başlayır), the tournament brought together 42 student competitors. The competition was held over seven rounds under the Swiss-system format.
Throughout the competitive rounds, participants demonstrated strong intellectual capacity, tactical acumen, and strategic decision-making skills.
According to the final tournament standings, Ulvi Alizade outperformed all rivals to take first place. Nihad Guliyev and Said Ramazanli secured the runner-up positions respectively.
The winners were presented with commemorative awards and official diplomas.
