Four tankers have sustained damage after striking sea mines near the Strait of Hormuz, while two additional vessels have been detained.
Sea-news.az reports citing Iran’s Mehr News Agency with reference to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
It was reported that the vessels struck mines while attempting to transit a restricted zone in the southern portion of the Strait of Hormuz. According to the IRGC statement, fires broke out aboard the damaged tankers, and two other vessels were intercepted and halted.
