Today is Gubadly City Day

20

Today marks 6 years since the liberation of Gubadli city from occupation.

Sea-news.az recalls that on October 25, 2020, the Azerbaijani Army scripted a new chapter in history in the struggle for the liberation of our lands—freeing several of our territories from occupation.

President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev shared news on his “X” account that replaced the nation’s sorrow of territorial loss with the joy of freedom. The head of state announced that our valorous Army had liberated four villages of Zangilan, five villages of Jabrayil, seven villages of Gubadli, and the city of Gubadli itself from the occupiers.

It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on July 31, 2023, regarding the establishment of City Days for the territories liberated from occupation. Under the decree, October 25 is celebrated as Gubadli City Day.
