Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tleuberdi addressed Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, calling for an end to drone attacks on Kazakh vessels in the Black Sea.

Sea-news.az reports citing ulysmedia.kz, that Tleuberdi made this statement following his meeting with Sybiha on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

“First and foremost, we discussed with the Ukrainian side the need to prevent future repetitions of unmanned aerial vehicle attacks against our vessels in the Black Sea,” the Kazakh Foreign Minister stated.

Tleuberdi noted that during the meeting, the parties also discussed bilateral relations against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict.

The Kazakh Foreign Minister had previously condemned regular drone attacks on his country’s oil export infrastructure. According to him, such attacks not only pose a threat to commercial shipping but also violate international trade rules and negatively impact the stability of global energy supplies.

It should be noted that in 2025–2026, infrastructure facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) located on the Black Sea coast were repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle attacks.
