A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker was damaged by a projectile strike while exiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Sea-news.az reports that the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) shared this information on the “X” social media platform.
The vessel’s captain reported that the tanker was hit by fragments of unknown projectiles. As a result of the incident, all crew members are safe, and no environmental damage has been caused.
The tanker will continue its journey toward its next destination.
UKMTO has recommended that vessels exercise caution when passing through this route and report any suspicious activity to the agency.
