North Korea has fired multiple ballistic missiles toward the Sea of Japan (East Sea).

Sea-news.az reports citing South Korea’s Yonhap news agency and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), that the launches were detected from the eastern coastal Wonsan area.South Korean and allied authorities are actively analyzing the precise specifications, range, and flight characteristics of the projectiles.

The latest missile activity comes just a day after South Korea, the United States, and Japan wrapped up a five-day trilateral military exercise (“Freedom Edge”).Pyongyang has strongly condemned these joint drills, viewing them as a security threat and a rehearsal for invasion.

This follows North Korea’s previous barrage of short-range ballistic missiles launched on August 20 amid regional tensions over military exercises.Neighboring militaries have heightened surveillance and are maintaining close intelligence-sharing coordination in response to the latest launches.
