An oil tanker navigating through the Strait of Hormuz has come under attack.
Sea-news.az reports that this was stated in an update issued by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
According to local authorities, the vessel was struck by an unknown projectile. Although the strike caused a fire on board the tanker, the flames were quickly extinguished.
The UKMTO noted that there is currently no danger to the lives of the crew members, and no reports of environmental consequences have been received.
