One person has died and nine others have sustained injuries of varying severity following a fire at a shipyard located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.

The flames erupted aboard a vessel currently under construction. Firefighting crews are currently operating at the scene, while law enforcement agencies are investigating the details of the incident.
The injured individuals have been evacuated to medical facilities diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning.
