The TUFAN uncrewed kamikaze marine vehicle, developed as a new-generation striking force for naval warfare in Turkey, has been launched into the water for the first time.

Sea-news.az reports citing TRT Haber, that this was announced in a statement by ASELSAN.

It was noted that the TUFAN uncrewed kamikaze sea drone is being showcased within the framework of the TEKNOFEST festival.

Notably, TUFAN is a surface-moving kamikaze sea drone. It is presented as an autonomous platform capable of operating in swarms with high explosive capability. Its length is 8 meters and its width is 1.8 meters. The maximum speed of the uncrewed marine vehicle exceeds 50 knots, which translates to approximately 93 km/h.

The operational range of TUFAN is 200 nautical miles, which equals roughly 370 kilometers.
