August 19 — World Photography Day
Sea-news.az reports citing ASCO, that maritime has always been a constant source of inspiration for photography: the infinity of the sea, ships, and the daily lives of sailors frequently find their reflection through camera lenses.
To support the art of photography, ASCO has implemented several projects to date. One of them is the “Xəzərim” (My Caspian) photo contest. A total of 83 photographers from various cities and districts of Azerbaijan submitted 154 photos to the competition. The entries were evaluated by a professional jury panel comprising members from 4 countries.
Within the framework of the contest, an exhibition was organized at the “Surakhani” Ship Museum, and a catalog featuring the photographs was compiled.
Today, we are sharing some selected photos from that contest with you.
