A 30-meter luxury yacht named Angiola II has sunk near the resort area of Porto Cervo on the Italian island of Sardinia as a result of a sudden technical malfunction in the engine room.

Sea-news.az reports that the vessel, valued at over 8 million euros, was purchased by an Italian businessman just four days ago.

At the time of the accident, there were a total of 14 people on board the yacht, including crew members and passengers. Thanks to the prompt intervention of other nearby vessels and Coast Guard forces, all 14 people on board were safely evacuated without injury.

The yacht currently remains underwater at a depth of approximately 7 meters in the Costa Smeralda waters. Appropriate monitoring and security measures are being implemented by the local Coast Guard to prevent fuel leakage and environmental pollution in the area.
