According to sea-news.az that the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy established on July 15, 1996, on the basis of the Baku Maritime Routes School upon the initiative of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, is today the only higher education institution in the region training highly qualified maritime personnel. The academy’s diploma is recognized in more than 170 countries around the world, opening international career opportunities for its graduates.
