According to sea-news.az that the UAE Ministry of Defense has released information regarding this incident.
It was stated that one crew member died and eight others were injured as a result of the attack.
The tankers named “Al-Bahiyah” and “Mombasa” were targeted while in Oman’s territorial waters. An Indian citizen aboard the “Mombasa” tanker lost his life during the attack.
Six Indian citizens and two Ukrainian citizens were injured as a result of the incident.
The Ministry announced that both ships were damaged and caught fire, but the fires have since been brought under control.
In a statement issued by the authority, it was emphasized that the UAE Armed Forces are in a state of high readiness, and that any move threatening the country’s security will be met with a resolute response.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks and offered condolences to India.
