Position: Senior Electrical Designer
PD&MS Group have a great opportunity for a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Engineering team based in Baku on a full time, long term contract basis. Reporting to the Principal Engineer you will be working as part of an Electrical team. The Senior Designer produces and checks engineering design deliverables. The Senior Designer is responsible for ensuring that designs meet project requirements. If you are passionate about Design, have some energy industry experience, or have transferable skills, then we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:Identification of design scope of work required to undertake a project/jobEnsure operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the designSeeking input from operations and maintenance personnelSurveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of workscopesChecking of design deliverablesRemain up to date and knowledgeable with technical developments, client, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the positionDuring surveys/site visits communication with Operations and Maintenance personnel to ensure all requirements are fulfilled and determine any opportunities where PD&MS can provide engineering solutions to existing problems or for improving existing methodsProduction of cost effective design solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both PD&MS and the Client and motivation of discipline personnel to do similarlyEnsuring compliance with applicable Industry Codes and Standards, HSE Alerts, Statutory Instruments, Client Specifications and Legislative Requirements and establishing order of precedence on a project-by-project basisDemonstration of safe approach in design and working practisesEncouragement of attention to safety.Our Senior Designers can expect to work in a modern environment, enjoy flexible working and will be offered a range of working options to suit individual situations.
