Azerbaijan has increased gas exports by 17% since the beginning of the year – minister

Azerbaijan exported 7.6 billion cubic meters of gas in January-April 2022, which is 17.4% higher than the same period last year.

Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote about this on his Twitter account.

According to him, 46% or 3.5 billion cubic meters of this volume was exported to Europe.

Shahbazov noted that in the structure of export supplies, Turkey accounted for 38% or 2.9 billion cubic meters, Georgia – 16% or 1.2 billion cubic meters.

Earlier, Shahbazov said that in 2022, the export of Azerbaijani gas to Europe will exceed 10 billion cubic meters.

It should be noted that in 2021, Azerbaijan exported about 8.2 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe.
