Job Title:Tech Advisor-MWD/LWD, Sr

Job Capsule:

Performs all conventional aspects of Measurement While Drilling (MWD), or Logging While Drilling (LWD), including design, analysis, and/or troubleshooting. Measurement While Drilling is a primary on-location provider of directional and gamma logging services. Provides technical and operational expertise to external customer in a professional manner. This level is for technical specialist positions above those in the Technical Advisor level, up to but not including chief engineer or discipline chief. This level includes the most technically competent level of engineer within the engineering discipline. Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Available guides and precedents either contain critical gaps, are only partially related to the problem, or may be largely lacking. Individuals at this level have all of the attributes of the Technical Advisor position and in addition, are considered the technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility such as a function or product. Engineers at this level have published papers and developed patents in their discipline, and are often called upon to make presentations to clients or at national meetings of professional engineering associations. Typical requirements include an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience, with average experience of 20+ years.
