Director of the Training Center of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC (ASCO), Emil Manafov, took part in an online conference organized by the influential British organization The Nautical Institute.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the conference was held in an online format and was dedicated to training in Dynamic Positioning. During the event, the participants talked about the application of new methods in organizing trainings, and discussed the curriculum and problems arising in the learning process because of the coronavirus.
Experienced maritime experts spoke at the conference and shared their opinions. A favorable atmosphere was also created for the exchange of experience.
It should be noted that in 2017, The Nautical Institute issued a certificate to the ASCO’s Training Center Dynamic Positioning Simulator. This certificate provides an opportunity to conduct “DP Induction” and “DP Simulator” trainings. At the moment, the Training Center is one of 85 centers in the world and the first in Azerbaijan, authorized to conduct “DP Induction” and “DP Simulator” trainings.
