Water Reserves in the Sea of Galilee Drop to Lowest Level in 100 Years

Water reserves in the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberias) have dropped to their lowest level in the past 100 years.

Sea-news.az reports that citing the Israeli news service TPS-IL, precipitation in the lake basin during the 2025–2026 season was approximately 90 percent of the long-term average.

Additionally, unusually high water turbidity in the Mediterranean Sea during September created severe water supply issues in Israel. As a result, operations at nearly all desalination plants across the country were temporarily suspended.
