The State Maritime and Port Agency hosted a meeting with Nexhat Kapidani, Deputy Head of the Maritime Administration of Montenegro, who was engaged as an expert by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) to provide technical assistance for improving the “Single Maritime Window” system.

Sea-news.az reports Eldar Majidov, Deputy Chairman of the Agency’s Board, highlighted that discussions on enhancing the system took place during the 2nd High-Level Transport Dialogue between Azerbaijan and the EU in Brussels and with representatives of DG MOVE. He expressed gratitude for the technical support granted under EMSA’s second project for the Black Sea and Caspian Sea regions (BCSEA II). It was noted that since June 1 of this year, the “Single Maritime Window” system has also been applied to Azerbaijani-flagged vessels conducting international voyages.

Nexhat Kapidani also held consultative meetings with the State Customs Committee, the State Border Service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Baku International Sea Trade Port, and local shipping agents.
