In Kazakhstan, the creation of a unified system for monitoring and forecasting conditions in the Caspian Sea using artificial intelligence, satellite data, and geoinformation technologies has been identified as a key priority area.
Sea-news.az reports that these matters were discussed during an international conference titled “Caspian Sea: Challenges, Prospects, and Opportunities for Sustainable Development.”
The event also focused on formulating scientifically grounded water balances and adaptation scenarios for coastal areas, alongside developing a unified scientific program aimed at preserving Caspian ecosystems and biodiversity.
Within the framework of the conference, an analytical report featuring evidence-based recommendations for protecting and restoring the Caspian Sea ecosystem is planned for publication.
The event will proceed with a practical workshop aimed at shaping concrete policy and technical proposals in this direction.
