An event organized at the State Maritime and Port Agency on the occasion of September 27 – Remembrance Day began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of our heroes who displayed great bravery during the Patriotic War and rose to the peak of martyrdom.
The speeches highlighted the matchless heroism of Azerbaijan’s soldiers and officers, as well as the chronicle of Victory written with the blood of our martyrs.
It was noted that as a result of the 44-day war, the valiant Azerbaijani Army, under the leadership of Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, ensured the country’s territorial integrity, historical justice, and international law.
Our lands were liberated from occupation at the cost of the lives and blood of our martyrs and through the selflessness of our heroic soldiers and officers. The people of Azerbaijan will never forget their bravery and dedication.
Afterward, Agency employees who took part in the First Karabakh War and the Patriotic War — Shahin Bakhishov, Elmar Salimov, Javidan Gasimly, Shahin Agayev, Punhan Huseynzade, Jafar Jafarov, Rahman Hasanov, Gadir Mammadov, and Parviz Abbasov — shared memories of their battle paths.
Finally, a commemorative photograph was taken with the employees who participated in the First Karabakh and Patriotic Wars.
