Following a long-term deployment in the Middle East, the US aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln” arrived at the military base on Guam island on Saturday.

Sea-news.az reports that this was announced by the press service of the US Seventh Fleet.

“Stopping at the Guam naval base marked the first return of the crew of Carrier Strike Group Three to American soil in nine months,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the US Naval Institute’s portal “USNI News” noted that the carrier’s deployment lasted for more than 300 days. Currently, the vessel is completing its return to the US West Coast.

It should be noted that Guam is a US-owned island located in the western Pacific Ocean.
