Traffic of commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz remains approximately 90 percent lower compared to pre-US-Iran conflict levels.
Sea-news.az reports this citing a report by the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
According to the report, following the lowest figures recorded on June 24–26, a stable flow of vessels passing through the strait has been observed, with tankers predominating in the shipping traffic.
It is noted that the route extending southward from the coast of Oman still remains the highest-risk corridor, with 22 out of 35 recorded munitions-related incidents occurring specifically in this area.
The report also stated that over the past seven days, the US military has intensified measures aimed at preventing Iran-linked commercial vessels from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
