More than 5.5 million tons of cargo were handled by Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) CJSC at the Baku Port during the January–August period of this year.
Sea-news.az reports that this is approximately 3% more compared to the same period of last year.
During the corresponding period, over 85,000 TEUs of containers were handled, exceeding the figure for the first 8 months of last year (69,855 TEUs) by 22%.
In August 2026, this figure reached 12.9 thousand TEUs, which is 39% more compared to August of last year.
