The Ministry of National Defense of Turkey has announced the detection and neutralization of suspicious unmanned aerial vehicles and naval drones in the Black Sea waters, including areas near the Bosphorus Strait.
Sea-news.az reports that, according to the ministry, special operations teams neutralized suspicious objects on the sea surface in the directions of Karadeniz Ereğlisi, Sakarya-Karasu, Cape Karaburun, the Türkəli anchorage at the entrance of the Bosphorus, and Istanbul’s Çatalca district.
Experts speculate that the discovered objects may be kamikaze-type naval drones or unmanned aerial vehicles.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense stated that Turkish Naval Forces combat ships and naval aviation continue uninterrupted 24-hour reconnaissance and surveillance operations in the waters of the Black Sea against potential mine threats and other risks.
