Another dangerous incident targeting commercial shipping has occurred in the Black Sea basin. The dry cargo ship Volgo Balt 226, belonging to Primavera Marine and sailing under the Comoros flag, has been subjected to a UAV (drone) attack.
Sea-news.az reports that Ilham Nasirov, chairman of the “Support to Azerbaijani Seafarers” Public Union, shared this information on social media.
The vessel had an 11-member crew on board—10 Azerbaijani sailors and 1 citizen of Georgia. Thank God, no loss of life or injuries were recorded among the sailors during the attack. Following the incident, the ship continued its voyage and is currently sailing toward the Turkish port of Trabzon.
