Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze visited the Batumi Sea Port, inspecting the operations of the container and mineral fertilizer terminals.

During the visit, the heads of the subsidiaries – “Batumi Oil Terminal” LLC and “Batumi Sea Port” LLC, Marlen Tulegenov and Ulan Tleugali, briefed the government delegation on the technical capabilities, operational dynamics, and future infrastructure development plans of the companies.
Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the strategic importance of Batumi’s maritime facilities in realizing Georgia’s transport and logistics potential. According to him, the freight turnover of the Batumi Port is demonstrating steady growth. The results of the first seven months of 2026 indicate that this could be a record-breaking year for the Batumi Sea Port in terms of production figures.
The Prime Minister also noted the importance of continuing consistent efforts to develop Batumi’s port infrastructure and increase its efficiency.
Holding foreign assets of “KazTransOil” JSC, the Batumi Oil Terminal and the Batumi Sea Port are modernizing their production facilities and enhancing operational efficiency. According to the statement, this will strengthen Georgia’s transit potential and Kazakhstan’s international transport connections within the Middle Corridor.
