The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), operating under the Royal Navy, has reported that an explosion occurred in the vicinity of a tanker near the northern coast of Oman.
Sea-news.az reports that this was stated in the announcement by the Coordination Center.
“UKMTO has received a report of an incident 20 kilometers northeast of Khasab, Oman. The master of the tanker reported hearing the sound of an explosion near the vessel. It is noted that the ship and crew are safe,” the statement said.
Investigations into the incident have been launched.
