The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has released the latest statistical indicators regarding the enforcement of the reinstated naval blockade against Iranian ports.

Sea-news.az reports citing CENTCOM’s official statement on the “X” social network, that as of July 31, the US Navy has rerouted 30 commercial vessels, disabled 2 ships, and boarded and seized 2 ships to ensure the blockade regime.

CENTCOM states that despite the naval blockade, approximately 30 vessels carrying humanitarian aid for the needs of the civilian population have been granted special permission to pass through the corridor. It should be noted that the US has deployed over 20 warships in the Middle East region to monitor full compliance with the naval blockade.

Recall that against the backdrop of maritime security in the Middle East and the tension arising in the Strait of Hormuz, the US re-imposed its naval blockade on Iran’s maritime ports starting July 14.
