The complete suspension of the activities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) is not on the agenda, and reports spreading about this do not reflect the truth.

Sea-news.az reports that this was stated by Asel Serikpayeva, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.

The statement from the ministry noted that although the consortium’s activities were temporarily restricted on July 31, the process of receiving oil from shippers and filling the tank farm continues uninterrupted.

It was reported that starting from August 1, the daily oil transportation volume amounted to 100,000 tons. Further increase in oil transportation will depend on tankers being ready for loading on time at the marine terminal.

The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan emphasized that it is in close contact with the CPC management and shipper companies, and the current situation is under full control.
