The competition for lightweight athletes at the European Rowing Championships held in Varese, Italy, has concluded.
Sea-news.az reports that the duo of Ziya Mammadizada and Nurlan Pashayev, representing the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation in the competition determining Europe’s strongest athletes, achieved great success. Crossing the finish line in second place in the final race of double sculls, our representatives won the silver medal of the European Championship.
It should be noted that the duo of Ziya Mammadizada and Nurlan Pashayev had also been awarded the bronze medal at the Rowing World Cup held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, from June 12 to 14.
