Iran’s Persian Gulf Waterways Management Organization (PGSA) has announced the complete suspension of vessel movement through the Strait of Hormuz.

Sea-news.az reports that this was circulated by the “Azad Iran” Telegram channel.

“Regarding numerous inquiries, we bring to your attention that due to the ongoing ‘aggressive’ actions of the US Armed Forces in the region, passage through the Strait of Hormuz is currently closed,” the statement reads.

It is noted that all applications will be reviewed on a rotating basis, and permits will be issued gradually until stability and order are restored.
