In the first half of the current year, 13,219 passengers were transported by the ferries of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), one of the companies of “AZCON Holding”.
According to sea-news.az citing ASCO, that this figure is 3.41 percent more compared to the corresponding period of last year. Specifically, the number of passengers transported in the first half of 2025 was 12,783.
During the reporting period, the highest passenger transportation was recorded in June. In that month, 2,944 passengers were transported by ASCO ferries, which means a 25.6 percent increase compared to the same month of last year (2,344 passengers).
In January–June of the current year, a total of 8,497 passengers were transported along the Alat–Kuryk and Kuryk–Alat routes. Of them, 4,658 passengers traveled in the direction of Alat–Kuryk, and 3,839 in the direction of Kuryk–Alat.
During the same period, 4,722 passengers were transported along the Alat–Turkmenbashi and Turkmenbashi–Alat routes. 2,692 passengers traveled in the direction of Alat–Turkmenbashi, and 2,030 in the direction of Turkmenbashi–Alat.
