Crude oil loading at the offshore terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has been temporarily suspended to ensure the safety of navigation, crew members, and the environment in the Black Sea.
According to sea-news.az citing the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, that all production and technical facilities of the consortium are fully operational. The terminal is ready to resume vessel loading as soon as the situation normalizes.
The Kazakh Ministry of Energy stated that due to technical restrictions imposed on receiving oil into the pipeline system, oil-producing companies have carried out controlled adjustments to their daily production volumes to prevent overfilling of the tank farms. This step is a purely technological, temporary measure aimed at maintaining the stability of production processes.
Currently, the relevant agencies of Kazakhstan are in close contact with the CPC management, major shippers, shipowners, and maritime authorities. Consultations are ongoing for the prompt restoration of the safe and stable export of Kazakh oil to world markets.
