A vessel sailing off the coast of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been hit by an unknown projectile, resulting in a loss of steering control.
According to sea-news.az that this was announced by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center.
According to the data, the incident occurred 17 nautical miles east of Dibba, UAE.
In its statement, the UKMTO reported that the ship’s master stated the vessel was struck by an unknown projectile, which damaged the steering control system.
“According to current information, all crew members are safe. No reports of environmental damage have been received,” the coordination center’s statement noted.
