A fishing festival was held at the Mingachevir “Kur” Olympic Training and Sports Center for representatives of sports federations, organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation.
According to sea-news.az that representatives from 20 sports federations participated in the event to showcase their fishing skills. Participants competed to catch the largest number and longest fish within a set time limit.
In the final results among men, Azer Maharramov (Azerbaijan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation) outperformed all his competitors. Vusal Gurbanov (Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation) took the second step of the podium, and Javad Javadov (Ministry of Youth and Sports) secured 3rd place.
Among women, Shafag Karimova (Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation) was awarded 1st place. Adiba Aliyeva (Azeridmanservis) took 2nd place, and Samira Aghayeva (Azerbaijan Boxing Federation) took 3rd place. The winners were awarded commemorative gifts by the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation.
The festival was met with great interest by the participants and contributed to expanding communication and strengthening friendly relations among representatives of the sports community.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation will continue to organize such events that promote sports and a healthy lifestyle.
