Suleyman Ismayilzada, a member of the Azerbaijani national swimming team, has competed in the final of the U-18 European Championship.
Our athlete finished 6th in the 1500m freestyle event with a time of 15:35.82. At last year’s championship, he had finished the same distance in 7th place.
It should be noted that the tournament is being held in Munich from July 7 to 12. Our national team is represented by 7 athletes in Germany: Anastasia Gnusina (14), Farhad Shirmammadli (15), Mehri Abdurahmanli (15), Maryam Javadova (14), Ogtay Huseynov (16), Suleyman Ismayilzada (17), and Yegor Maynitski (16). The head coach is Luka Gabrilo, and the coaches are Rashad Aliyev and Ruslan Hatamkhanov.
