The Milli Majlis (Parliament) has ratified the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments.
According to sea-news.az that the matter was brought up for discussion during today’s extraordinary session of parliament.
Following the discussions, the draft was put to a vote and adopted in one reading.
It should be noted that the convention was signed in London on February 13, 2004.
