A special communication line has been established and is already operational to prevent escalation in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to sea-news.az which cites TASS news agency, this was announced by Majed bin Mohammed Al-Ansari, the official spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During a briefing, the spokesperson highlighted the following points regarding the situation in the region and crisis management. The special communication channel has already been actively used over the last few days to de-escalate tensions. The diplomat did not disclose technical details regarding how the system functions.The government in Doha is exploring options with its partners to organize discussions on regional security. There are plans to involve regional states, especially Iran, in the negotiation process and to create conditions for transparently addressing current concerns.
The Qatari official emphasized that Doha continues to work closely with its regional partners to ensure stability in the region.
