Harsh Message from Araghchi to International Coalitions!

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has declared that any external interference in the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will only further escalate tensions and will not assist in the restoration of shipping.

According to sea-news.az citing the SNN agency, the minister stated this during a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein.

Araghchi noted that the clashes in the Strait of Hormuz over the last two nights demonstrate that external interventions are further complicating the situation. According to him, if all obstacles are removed and obligations under the Iran-U.S. memorandum are fulfilled, shipping in the strait could return to pre-war levels within 30 days.

As a reminder, the situation in the region is extremely tense. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that it carried out strikes on Iranian territory in response to attacks on commercial vessels. In retaliation, Iran’s IRGC military unit declared that it struck U.S. military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain with missiles and UAVs.
