A solemn event was held at the Baku Marine Station on the occasion of June 25 – International Day of the Seafarer and the professional holiday of Azerbaijani seafarers.

According to sea-news.az the event was attended by officials from “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY), Baku International Sea Trade Port, and “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” CJSC (ASCO). During the event, the strategic role of the joint professional activities of seafarers, port workers, and railway workers in the development of Azerbaijan’s transport and logistics system was highlighted.

“From Sea to Port…” Exhibition

Within the framework of the event, the official opening of the exhibition titled “From Sea to Port…”, dedicated to the professional holiday of seafarers, took place. Organized by ADY, the exhibition reflects the harmony of maritime transport, port infrastructure, and railway logistics, as well as the transport history of our country:

  • The Exposition: Alongside photo compositions depicting the dedicated labor of seafarers, port operations, and the activities of railway workers, the exhibition features paintings by Azerbaijani artists dedicated to marine themes;
  • Core Philosophy: Through the language of photography, it demonstrates how journeys beginning at sea transform into a seamless and safe logistics chain on the shore—specifically at the Port of Baku and the railway network, which act as a reliable bridge between sea and land.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors for one month.

Distinguished Employees Awarded

At the end of the event, port employees who particularly distinguished themselves in their professional activities and contributed to the uninterrupted transportation of cargo were honored by the management and presented with “Certificates of Honor.”
