For the first time after two months of restrictions, Iran has commenced oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to sea-news.az CNBC reported this, citing data from the analytical firm Kpler. According to the information, at least three Iranian tankers, carrying a combined total of approximately 5 million barrels of oil, have departed the waters of the Strait of Hormuz.
Among them, the supertankers Diona and Hero 2, owned by the state-run National Iranian Tanker Company, were noted to be carrying around 3.8 million barrels of crude oil. The report by Kpler analysts highlighted that the vessels managed to pass through the patrol area where the US Navy is present. It should be noted that yesterday, Iran’s Fars News Agency also reported that the country’s vessels had crossed the US blockade zone in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the agency, following an agreement reached between Tehran and Washington, several tankers crossed the blockade line without hindrance.
