Partnership Opportunities in Shipbuilding Discussed

Prospects for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in the fields of maritime transport, logistics, and shipbuilding have been discussed.

According to sea-news.az this was stated by Ukraines Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, while commenting on the outcomes of his meeting with Afgan Jalilov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO).

During the meeting, the parties discussed:

  • The development of cooperation in maritime transport and logistics;
  • New opportunities within the framework of the Middle Corridor;
  • Expansion of ferry connections across the Caspian Sea and between Ukraine and the South Caucasus;
  • Prospects for implementing joint infrastructure and shipbuilding projects.

Ambassador Husyev noted that particular attention was given to strengthening regional transport links and developing new logistics routes.

He also expressed gratitude to the leadership and people of Azerbaijan for their support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for humanitarian assistance.

According to experts, potential joint shipbuilding initiatives could open a new chapter in industrial and transport cooperation between the two countries while contributing to the expansion of regional logistics capabilities.
