In the first quarter of this year, Azerbaijan exported 1,694.8 tonnes of frozen sturgeon worth a total of $1.795 million to foreign countries.
According to sea-news.az citing Yeniavaz.com, the average customs value of the exported frozen sturgeon was $1.06 per kilogram (approximately AZN 1.80/kg).
It is reported that Azerbaijan exported this product to three countries.
The export volumes and average customs values per kilogram were as follows:
- Kazakhstan – 178.2 tonnes ($0.93/kg)
- Russia – 1,473.8 tonnes ($1.08/kg)
- Turkmenistan – 42.8 tonnes ($0.75/kg)
Russia remained the largest destination for Azerbaijan’s frozen sturgeon exports, accounting for the vast majority of shipments during the reporting period.
