With a capacity of 24,212 TEU, the ship measures 400 meters in length and 62 meters in width. It will operate on the strategic French Asia Line route connecting Asia and Europe, calling at major ports including Shanghai, Singapore, Rotterdam, and Hamburg.

According to the company, CMA CGM Notre Dame is equipped not only with an LNG propulsion system but also with several advanced technologies aimed at improving energy efficiency. These include aerodynamic systems, smart energy management solutions, and AI-based route optimization.

Operated by a crew of approximately 30 people, the vessel is the first in a series of 10 next-generation container ships scheduled to enter service between 2026 and 2028.
