Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has stated that the presence of military vessels from France, the United Kingdom, or other countries in the Strait of Hormuz would trigger a strong response from Tehran.
“Any military presence in the region by France, the United Kingdom, or any other country in support of US actions will be met with an immediate and decisive response,” Gharibabadi said.
He also called on Paris and London not to further escalate the situation.
According to the Iranian deputy foreign minister, the deployment of foreign warships in the area would only lead to further militarization of the Strait of Hormuz and deepen the ongoing crisis.
