The oil tanker M/T EUREKA has been seized by unidentified armed individuals off the coast of Yemen, according to the Yemeni Coast Guard.
The incident occurred near the Shabwah governorate. The tanker, sailing under the flag of Togo and built in 2006, was taken over and subsequently directed toward the Gulf of Aden, reportedly heading in the direction of the Somali coast.
Authorities confirmed that the vessel’s current location has been identified and measures are underway to ensure the safety of the crew.
